Welcome to Locally Away.

 By using our website and booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use Locally Away and make bookings. By making a booking, you confirm you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. 

Age-Restricted and Regulated Products

Locally Away Ltd recognises the legal restrictions surrounding the sale and delivery of age-restricted products, which may include, but are not limited to, alcohol, tobacco, and cigarettes. These products can only be sold and delivered to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By placing an order for an age-restricted product through Locally Away's platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

For deliveries facilitated by Locally Away, our company enforces a strict age verification policy. Customers purchasing age-restricted products will be required to provide proof of age to the delivery driver upon receipt of their order. It is the responsibility of our partners to implement and uphold an age verification policy for orders fulfilled through Partner Delivery.

In accordance with regulatory requirements, delivery drivers reserve the right to refuse the delivery of any age-restricted product to individuals who cannot provide valid photo identification confirming they are 18 years of age or older. Furthermore, Locally Away and its partners maintain the right to refuse the delivery of alcohol to individuals who are, or appear to be, under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Orders containing alcohol will only be delivered to residential or business addresses. In the event that delivery of an age-restricted product is refused, customers will still be charged for the relevant item and for delivery services rendered.

At Locally Away Ltd, we are committed to upholding legal standards and promoting responsible consumption of age-restricted products within our community.

Orders 

Orders on Locally Away represent services provided by independent third party businesses.

Pricing and Payments

Pricing may vary based on seasonality, availability and group sizes (etc). Any service charges or taxes will be clearly disclosed prior to booking. Payment is processed securely with industry standard encryption.

We require full payment at Check-Out in order to process your delivery. If a cancellation is eligible, we require you to inform us at least 5 days before your due delivery date.

Cancellations and Refunds

Given the nature of pre-ordered and customised orders, cancellation policies occur. Please check each listing's cancellation terms carefully. If a cancellation is eligible, requests must be made to us before 5 days of the accommodation check-in date.

We require full payment at Check-Out in order to process your delivery. If a cancellation is eligible, we require you to inform us at least 5 days before your due delivery date.

If you need to postpone or move your date for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible and our team will help to assist in amending your booking.

We do our utmost to make sure that your items will arrive safely and undamaged. However, if for any reason that an item is damaged, please send us proof of evidence; photographic evidence via an email link, as soon as possible. Please note that this evidence will only be taken into consideration when sent to us on the Day Of Delivery/Arrival (no later).

The Bag

Your items will be delivered in a tarpaulin back-pack style bag which has been designed to withstand all weather. These bags can be bought at a fixed price of £24.99. If you do not wish to purchase, we require them to be left in the accommodation Kitchen and you will then receive your deposit back after we have collected upon your departure.

Any damage to our back-pack bags will be charged at a replacement cost. Our bags should be in the same condition as you received them.

Our mission is to act as sustainably as possible. We kindly ask that you do not dispose of the WoolCool and instead place the packaging material back into the bag for our collection.

User Conduct

You agree to use Locally Away services for lawful purposes only and in a responsible manner respectful of local norms and providers. Abuse, harassment, or illegal behaviour will result in cancellation of bookings/access without refund.

User Content

Any reviews, photos, or other content you submit to Locally Away gives the company rights to use that material for promotion. You confirm you own the rights to any content posted.

Third Party Links

Our website may contain links to third party sites which operate under their own privacy policies. We aren't responsible for content or issues arising from third party sites.

Changes and Termination

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue all or part of Locally Away at any time, with or without notice. We have no liability for any loss arising from any changes or termination.

Release and Limitation of Liability

You acknowledge and agree that Locally Away and its owners, staff and affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or other damages arising from your use of our services. This includes providers failing to fulfil services booked through our platform. We do not guarantee providers' compliance with local licensing or safety regulations.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Locally Away and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses related to use of our services.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions and any disputes shall be governed by Scottish law.
